From Darkness to Royal Identity in Christ: My Journey of Deliverance & Healing
I once walked a path that promised light but led me deeper into darkness. For years, I searched for peace, purpose & healing in places that could never satisfy my soul. I was drawn into occult practices, the deception of New Age spirituality, false religions & even secular music that fed my spirit with emptiness instead of truth. Instead of freedom, I found chains: chains of depression, confusion & false idols that took the place of the living God. But one day, the voice of Jesus Christ broke through the noise.
The Turning Point
In my deepest despair, I realized that everything I had been pursuing only left me hollow. I was weary of chasing after false promises. It was then that the Lord, in His mercy, revealed Himself to me. His Word pierced my heart with truth: “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36)
In that moment, I encountered not a religion, but the living Savior. I surrendered & Jesus began to untangle the lies I had believed for so long. What I thought would bring me healing had only deepened my wounds, but the love of Christ touched me in ways nothing else ever could.
Walking in Deliverance
My deliverance was not just a single moment: it became a journey. The Lord gently but firmly led me out of every bondage:
- The occult, where I sought hidden power, but found only oppression.
- New Age practices, which promised enlightenment but delivered confusion.
- False religions, where I tried to earn love that was already freely given in Christ.
- Secular music, which shaped my thoughts & emotions in ways that distracted me from God’s truth.
- Depression, which once seemed like an unshakable shadow but lifted as His joy filled me.
- Idols, which I had unknowingly placed above God, now cast down at His feet.
Every chain that fell reminded me of His Word: “He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness and broke away their chains.” (Psalm 107:14)
Today, I walk in the freedom that Jesus purchased for me at the cross.
A Royal Identity in Christ
As I continue to grow as a Christian woman, the Lord has placed a burning passion on my heart: to help other women discover their true identity in Him. For so long, I believed lies about who I was: unworthy, broken & lost. But in Christ, I have learned that we are daughters of the King. We carry a royal identity that cannot be taken away, because it is rooted in Jesus Himself.
This truth transforms how we see ourselves & how we live. It empowers us to step out of fear & into the calling God has prepared for us.
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” (1 Peter 2:9)
Healing Hearts, Empowering Women
God has not only healed my heart but also entrusted me with a ministry of healing & empowerment. My vision is to walk alongside women who, like me, have wrestled with brokenness, deception & pain. Through encouragement, teaching & creative projects, I long to see women rise up into the fullness of their royal identity in Christ.
Every scar I carry has become a testimony of His grace. Where there was once shame, there is now boldness. Where there was once confusion, there is now clarity. And where there was once bondage, there is now freedom.
Looking Forward
My story is not finished yet. I am still learning, still growing & still being shaped into the image of Christ. But I know one thing for certain: Jesus is faithful. He is still in the business of healing, delivering & setting captives free.
To anyone reading this who feels trapped in darkness, whether in depression, false beliefs or the weight of idols, Jesus can set you free. His love is stronger than any chain & His light will guide you out of the shadows.
My prayer is that you, too, will embrace the royal identity He has given you & step into the fullness of His love & purpose for your life.
