Read MoreAbba Father, as I come to You today, I ask that You break the spirit of depression over my life and my bloodline. I declare that it ends with me! No longer will the spirit of depression thrive in my life or the lives of those in my generation. Thank You, Lord, that there is freedom in You, and that there is no name above Your name. I also ask that You deliver me from any chemical imbalances that might allow the spirit of depression to thrive. I ask that You bring me into true freedom. Lord, I bring the following verses to You as a declaration against the spirit of depression. As I speak these verses, I ask that Your Holy Spirit would help them take root in my heart, mind, and soul. In Jesus’ name, I declare:
1 Chronicles 16:27: Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and joy are in His place.
Job 8:21: He will yet fill your mouth with laughing, and your lips with rejoicing.
Psalm 5:11: But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You.
Psalm 4:7: You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the season that their grain and wine increased.
Psalm 16:11: You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Psalm 51:8: Make me hear joy and gladness, that the bones You have broken may rejoice.
Psalm 51:12: Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
Psalm 66:1: Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!
Psalm 67:4: Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy! For You shall judge the people righteously, and govern the nations on earth. Selah
Psalm 71:23: My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You, and my soul, which You have redeemed.
Psalm 81:1: Sing aloud to God our strength; make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob.
Psalm 86:4: Rejoice the soul of Your servant, for to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
Psalm 90:14: Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days!
Psalm 92:4: For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands.
Psalm 94:19: In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.
Psalm 95:1: Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.
Psalm 98:4: Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.
Psalm 100:1: Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
Psalm 118:15: The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the Lord does valiantly.
Psalm 126:2-3: Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad.
Psalm 126:5-6: Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
Proverbs 12:20: Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but counselors of peace have joy.
Proverbs 14:10: The heart knows its own bitterness, and a stranger does not share its joy.
Proverbs 15:30: The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, and a good report makes the bones healthy.

Hebrews 12:2: Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

1 Peter 1:8: Whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory.
